OK, Im hooked. Im enjoying making cards again. Hopefully you are enjoying seeing them too - have you subscribed yet?

So, I played along with the Global Design Project this week. The theme was 'CASE THE DESIGNER' - here is the inspiration;

Click on the image above to see some of the awesome work done by the design team (including my amazing wife Kylie) and you can also take part in the challenge too.

Case the designer? What does that mean? Does it mean 'Case the Card?' Use the same colours? Use the same theme? Use the layout? Yes to any/all of the above. Now that we have that established, here is the card I came up with;

I have to say that this area of the colour wheel are my favourite. It might have something to do with my name - do you know what Bruno means? Homework for you....

Flowers

The original card had a circular theme. And, I wanted to keep that aspect of the card. But, rather than a full circle element, I decided to use the floral half-circle element.

Do you like the image? Here is the set it is taken from - it's called 'Timeless Love;'

If you live in Australia, its just $29 and has some excellent sentiments that are useful for a number of different occasions. Click on the picture if you would like to purchase.

Sentiment

The original card has very little glimmer paper. So, I wanted to replicate that sparing use of it. I chose the sentiment from the 'All Boxed Up' set and I thought it worked very well within the floral element. So I stamped the sentiment on both colours and tried about seven different combinations using different punch sizes. Im really happy with how it turned out.

Embellishment

I love the linen thread and Im really happy with the added texture it gives the card.

  1. I love this card Bruno! That Timeless Love stamp set was a great choice and I love that you have only done the half and used it to highlight the sentiment. Lots of inspiration in your card. Thank you so much for playing along with this week's Global Design Project challenge and supporting us. xx

  3. Bruno, you are the third person to use a set I totally overlooked in the catalogue! When I see your design (and the others) I can't imagine how that is possible! I love how the image frames the sentiment and the hint of Gold on you card, in the glimmer paper and metallic thread, just takes it up another notch! Thanks for playing at Global Design Project this week ♥
